We're pleased to announce version 2.0 of MobiMB for Nokia phones. The latest version adds support for the new Nokia 6230 (Infrared and Bluetooth) and also adds some extra useful features that people have been asking for.

Now for the first time, you can add and configure Operator logos, Startup logos and NEW Shutdown Logos on the Nokia 6230! MobiMB 2.0 continues to support all the many other phones supported in previous versions.

MobiMB enables you to drag & drop images, polyphonic ringtones and Java games to and from your Nokia gallery phone. All that is required is a suitable means of connecting the phone to your computer.

Java game settings

When transferring Java games, you can now optionally transfer high scores and game settings using MobiMB. To activate this feature, first check the guidance notes in the help file, then select the option from the advanced options box.

Built-in ringtone access

In addition to the gallery, many of the phones supported by MobiMB also have a separate area in which the built-in ringtones are stored. In addition, some early Nokia firmware versions allow ringtones only from this area to be used in caller groups. This option should be used with care - to activate this feature, first check the guidance notes in the help file, then select the option from the advanced options box.

Support for new handsets

The new version adds support for various recent models, including the Nokia 6225, 3105, 6810, 6820B amongst others. Enhanced support has been added for the Nokia 3570, 3585 and 3585i.

Controller Lanes

It is now possible to draw MIDI controller change messages, including parameters such as the volume of a track. The tempo of the file can also be modified in a similar way. This frequently requested feature significantly enhances the level of control that more serious musicians ask for in MIDI design.

Maximize Volume Tool

When creating a ringtone it is sometimes desirable to make the tune as loud as possible, since many phones do not play polyphonic tones as loudly as their monophonic counterparts. We have provided a tool which can increase all the parameters of the file connected with volume to their maximum values.

New Phone Profiles

In addition to existing phones, profile support for the following Nokia phones has been added: 3100, 3105, 3108, 3200, 3200B, 3520, 3560, 3586, 3586i, 3589i, 6108, 6200, 6585, 6610, 6820, 7250i, 7600

Performance Improvements

Complex operations such as cropping a file have now been optimized and streamlined. The playing of notes as they are created has been improved so that note creation is more responsive.
